IRVINGTON EXTENDED DAY

Frequently Asked Questions
Q&As
What is the difference between Long Days & Early Release Wednesdays?
The difference between Long Days and Early Release Wednesdays lies in the timing and inclusion in our program. Long Days extend care from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, requiring an extra fee for those not regularly attending after care. Early Release Wednesdays operate from 11:50 am to 5:30 pm, and while children attending 4 or 5 days are automatically included, those attending 3 days must pay an additional $64 fee per month, regardless of their typical attendance on Wednesdays.
Will my child be eligible at 3.5?
We are currently only accepting students who will be turning 4 by September
Do Micro & Macro follow different Calendars?
Yes, micro and macro classes do not follow the same school calendar. Macro classes include additional "camp days" for an extra fee, covering care from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm when school is closed. Micro classes can join these days for an additional $80 fee, ensuring all students receive comprehensive care tailored to their needs.
Why is there an extra fee once a month for after care?
Per PPS School Calendar, there will be 8 early release Wednesdays scheduled for the 2024-2025 school year. The extra $64 a monthly charge is covering our staff for the extra hours of care needed on early release Wednesday.
Is your program a part of PPS ?
IED is not a part of PPS. We are located inside of Irvington Elementary but we are our own identity. We do follow the same safety drills, school schedule, and a majority of calendar dates as PPS.
What's next in the enrollment process?
We strongly encourage you to do our in person tour first. After the tour you will be given a 14 day grace period to accept or decline the onboarding process. At the time of your acceptance you will be expected to pay the nonrefundable registration fee. If you decide to enroll after the 14 day grace period you will be placed on a waitlist and contacted when a slot is available.
